- We are looking for qualified and experienced Disability Support Workers for our ever-growing team, providing support to a range of participants from 6 years to adult.
Duties and responsibilities of the role
- Assist individuals to perform daily living tasks, such as hygiene, cooking, cleaning, community outings, learning and maintaining daily routines.
- Medication administration.
- Providing companionship and support to assist clients to develop their existing skills, abilities, and confidence.
- Maintaining record of client progress
- Assist in the coordination of support for participants
What you need
- Enthusiasm and passion about supporting people with disabilities to live great lives.
- Recent experience in the Disability sectors at least 1 year, and specifically with behaviours of concern.
- Relevant qualifications (Cert III or above) in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, or Community Services
- Current First Aid (no more than 3 years old) and CPR (no more than 12 months old) Certificates.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepover, and active night shifts.
